Disappearing off the Face of the Earth

It’s great to end 2017 on a reading high!

Disappearing off the Face of the Earth by David Cohen is such a cool read. I had a huge smile on my face by the end of the first page. I knew it was going to be good.

The book has humour, suspense and brilliant writing

It’s about a young guy, Ken who owns and runs Hideaway Self Storage. His assistant at the facility is the very intriguing and slightly disturbing, Bruce. Ken’s girlfriend is one of the tenants who stores her ‘things’ there, like everyone else, under padlock and key.

Once a successful business, we come in when Ken’s world begins to unravel. His tenants are disappearing (literally!) and his relationship is going downhill fast.

You can’t help but feel for Ken as he tries to make sense of what is going on.

And what is going on is—

– well worth finding out!

Disappearing off the Face of the Earth is a book I’ll read again and again, not only because I loved it, but for the pleasure of Cohen’s skilful writing and clever storytelling.
